I graduated from the University of Guam in May 2011 with a Bachelors in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies.
For as long as I can remember, I have always been intrigued with history. I have learned to appreciate everything history has to offer, because I believe everything that has come about today is a result of an incident or event that occurred yesterday.
I became part of the BMS/Scarlet Phoenix family in March 2012 and so far have NEVER regretted my decision to stay.
I love to travel, because history can be found on all corners of the world. So far, I have traveled to Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia, France, Philippines, and many different areas within the U.S. Within the next couple of years, I hope to add to my list by visiting countries in Asia and South America.
Even though I love to travel the world, my favorite place is and will always be Guam. Guam is my home =)
I am known to be a very adventurous person. When it comes to food, I’ll try anything once! Fear is not a factor for me!
My favorite quote is…
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style” ― Maya Angelou
I have never claimed to be good at everything in life, but in whatever I choose to do, I always try my best and somehow make it to the finish line. It’s not about how fast you get there, it’s about the journey and lessons you learn along the way—that is one thing I want my student’s to always remember.
Although history is my passion, I have never been fond of politics. NEVER!
For the sake of comfort, I’ve sacrificed style and traded in my heels for VANS. Teaching is hardest job on the planet, but I enjoy the challenge and the look on a student’s face when I know I made a difference in their life.
