I don't need you to pass. I want you to.
You don't have to want to pass. You just need to.
I've been involved in the education field for twenty years.
I was a teacher, an academic evaluator for Special Ed for one year, and also a summer school counselor at one point.
I have two masters degrees. One in Educational Leadership from the University of Portland and the other one in Special Education from the University of Guam.
I've been at Dededo Middle School/Benavente Middle School since 1993 when I first started out. I left in SY 2002 to work for SPED, then taught at FB for about half the year, when I was transferred back to BMS.
When DMS (as it was known back then) first had Teams, I was a member of "The Great Achievers", which changed their name to "Millennium Stars". I then moved to the Northern Stars. When I taught at FBLG my team was the Mighty Ducks *quackquack*. When I came back to BMS, I was placed in Team Blue Dragons. Then after a couple of years they disbanded positions so I taught an elective class. The following year when they restarted the third team. I joined the Scarlet Phoenix (and I haven't looked back since).
Scarlet Phoenix might have been named Jade Phoenix if it weren't for about fifteen votes. Both of those names were my suggestion.
I teach Language Arts, 8th grade which is what I love. I love teaching this level and I love teaching this subject. Grammar and languages are exciting to me. I can teach Reading but for some reason, it just doesn't interest me as much. Speaking of reading...
I read a LOT but I read primarily non-fiction. I like reading news and current events and non-fiction how to/documentaries/self help/etc books. I don't like fiction the way I used to.
Some of my former students have become my dearest friends. I treasure them.
Generally, I like who I work with and love what I do. But its up to YOU to prove it to me. MAKE me fall in love with your class. If you can, there's nothing I won't ever do for you. Just ask Generation II and IV...
